Since 2015, ELa FaLa - which means ‘She Speaks’ in Portuguese - has sought to create bridges between art, technology, spirituality, culture, education and science, through a holistic vision of the world. The collective highlights and bolsters communication between these different communities of thought and discovers the many forms of medicine of their interaction. Our first work was born in the same year as a co-produced dance for camera in partnership with Urban Body Project.
In 2019, through an artistic residency with Polaris Dance Theatre we premiered our first evening length piece, “Anna”. This led to the creation of our 2nd short film, directed by Devin Jane Febbroriello and partially funded by Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC). It also opened up the opportunity to produce a street cinema experience in 2020 in collaboration with The Mobile Projection Unit, Serpent Power Productions, Desert Island Studios and Open Signal.
